This Privacy Policy describes how Growth Mindset Advisors LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information you provide when using the DealReveal™ deal scoring tool at growthmindsetadvisors.com/dealreveal. By using DealReveal™ or submitting the scorecard form, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Please read it carefully before submitting any data.
Who We Are
DealReveal™ is a product of Growth Mindset Advisors LLC, a mergers and acquisitions advisory firm based in Connecticut, USA. We provide deal scoring, valuation guidance, and M&A advisory services to business owners, founders, and investment professionals.
What Data We Collect
We collect two categories of data when you use DealReveal™.
2a. Data You Provide Directly (Scorecard Form)
When you complete and submit the DealReveal™ scorecard, we collect:
- Contact information: company name and email address
- Business financial data: annual revenue, EBITDA, gross margin, revenue history, employee count
- Business profile data: industry sector, subscription revenue %, competitive position, top customer concentration, IP status
- Channel and geographic data: channel mix percentages, international revenue %, manufacturing countries
- E-commerce KPIs: conversion rate, ROAS, CAC, AOV, CLV, contribution margin (optional fields)
- Deal context: deal stage (Pre-Sale, IOI, LOI) and your role (CEO/Owner, Investment Banker, Private Equity)
You represent and warrant that all information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it.
2b. Data Collected Automatically
When you visit our website and use DealReveal™, we automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate geographic location (city/region level)
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited, time on page, and referring URL
- Date and time of form submission and T&C acceptance (logged for consent verification)
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)
How We Use Your Data
3a. To Provide the DealReveal™ Service
- Generate your deal score, valuation range, and pursuit recommendation using our proprietary algorithm
- Produce and deliver your paid PDF report (where applicable)
- Process payment through Stripe for the $199 Full Report and $499 Report + Strategy Call tiers
- Schedule your strategy call via Calendly (for $499 tier purchasers)
3b. To Communicate With You
- Send your scorecard summary and/or PDF report by email
- Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form
- Send service-related emails (receipts, confirmations, report delivery)
- Send marketing communications about Growth Mindset Advisors services — only with your prior consent, and you may opt out at any time
3c. To Improve Our Services
- Analyze aggregate, anonymized scoring data to refine and improve the DealReveal™ algorithm
- Monitor website performance and user experience
- Conduct internal research and product development
We do not sell individual scorecard data to third parties. Aggregate, anonymized insights (e.g., "average EBITDA margin in Health & Beauty sector") may be used in published research or marketing materials with all identifying information removed.
3d. Legal and Compliance
- Maintain records of T&C acceptance (timestamp, IP address) as required for consent documentation
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests from government authorities
- Enforce our Terms of Use and protect our legal rights
How We Share Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances.
4a. Service Providers (Third-Party Processors)
We share data with trusted third-party service providers who process it on our behalf, under strict data processing agreements:

4b. Legal Requirements

4c. Business Transfers
If Growth Mindset Advisors LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website prior to any such transfer.
Data Retention
We retain your data for the following periods:
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 8 — Your Rights). Payment records and T&C acceptance logs may be retained longer if required by law.
Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our website (HTTPS)
- Payment data processed exclusively through Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure — we do not store credit card numbers
- Access controls limiting who within Growth Mindset Advisors can access submitted scorecard data
- Regular security reviews of our hosting environment and WordPress installation
No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

Additional Rights by Jurisdiction
Connecticut Residents (CTDPA)
Under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (effective July 1, 2023), Connecticut residents have additional rights including the right to appeal our decisions regarding data requests. We will respond within 45 days.
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have rights including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to non-discrimination. We do not sell personal information as defined under CCPA.
EU/UK Residents (GDPR)
You have rights under GDPR including the right to restrict processing, the right to object, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful bases are contractual necessity, legitimate interests, and consent.
Confidentiality of Submitted Business Data
We understand that the financial and operational data you submit through DealReveal™ is sensitive and confidential. We treat all submitted business data with strict confidentiality:
- Submitted company data is used solely to generate your score and report — it is not shared with buyers, investors, or other third parties without your explicit consent
- Growth Mindset Advisors employees and contractors who access submitted data are bound by confidentiality obligations
- We do not use individual company data for competitive intelligence, market research sold to third parties, or any purpose outside of service delivery and aggregate anonymized analysis
- If you engage Growth Mindset Advisors for advisory services following your DealReveal™ report, a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will govern the sharing of detailed confidential information
By submitting data through DealReveal™, you represent that you have the authority to share that data and that doing so does not violate any confidentiality obligations you have to third parties.
Children's Privacy
DealReveal™ is intended for use by business owners, founders, and investment professionals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
Third-Party Links
Our website and PDF reports may contain links to third-party websites including Calendly, Stripe, and other resources. This Privacy Policy applies only to growthmindsetadvisors.com and the DealReveal™ tool. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting any personal data to them.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:
